I think they made Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy so long and boring so that we would have empathy for the children of Israel. It may take us forty years to get through it all ourselves.
Are you going to read it all? We're REVing and we are still in Exodus. I don't think we're going to slog through all the law, but we're leaving that decision for later....
I, too, like your new look. I like to see the 'real you', instead of just an imposter :) (though I'm not sure I like the jaundiced look!)
And I'm really enjoying reading the WHOLE Old Testament (as opposed to my old habit of reading only what the lesson calls for (even when I was teaching it!) Being inspired by your NY's resolution, I figured only 3 1/2 pgs/day will do it, and have been f-a-i-r-l-y consistent. Thanks for your inspiration. And you hang in there! :) (I found that if I mark some of the trivia, as though it were something I really needed to know :), it makes the reading more interesting.}
Just a suggestion that might help. Today, I wanted to lay down to read - but my large print version of the Bible is a little awkward to hold up in the air above my face - so I just laid down and listened to the audio scriptures on lds.org. I was able to 'hear' twice as many chapters as I would probably have read at one sitting. Try it, you might like it: http://www.lds.org/broadcast/scriptures/0,5393,48,00.html

Wow. Yellow.
I love the new look. Good job.
.
That very well may be true.
First impressions of the new look:
1. Yowza!
2. Hmmmm.
3. I think I like this....
4. (Pending.)

My thought is--I've read it once! That's enough!
I know I'm weird and all, but I actually enjoyed the Pentateuch. Even Numbers.
Which makes me really weird. I'll shut up now.
Loving the new look. Three cheers for everyone doing new looks!
Oh. And I like that you're holding yourself accountable for Resolution iii by posting your books read in your sidebar. Good for you. :)
I'm also pleased to note that because I finished another book on Friday, I've read one more book than you this year. Because it's all about my ego.
You are obviously not reading it correctly.
These are some of the most important chapters of the entire Bible.
Especially the part about bestiality...
I've only just realised the picture in your profile was actually from "Batman Begins".
I thought you were so dashing....tsk tsk... :P
So you're saying I'm not dashing...
Very nice! And I've been meaning to tell you that I really like your "Mystery" quote.
........no... I didn't say that. I meant you're probably not as good at dashing other people's world conquest plans as Batman is.
Ah, of course, I should have realized that's what you meant. :)
.
I don't dislike all that law stuff--I just find it tedius when I just read the same instructions word for word seenty-five times already!!!!!
If you sing the tune of rescue rangers as you read those books it makes it easier to read.
I propose we officially shorten seventy to seenty.
That is all.

For some reason the whole site address doesn't show on that last comment. I'll try again.
