Double Yuck

He was there again this morning. Thankfully this time he showed up just as I was leaving, but he wasted no time in getting to business. Yuck. I'm not finding anything funny or flattering about this anymore. Tomorrow morning I'm going to get there earlier and use the shower on the other side of the locker room. If that doesn't solve the problem, I'll figure out what authorities I need to go to in order to make it stop.

Since when did this practice become so prolific? It grosses me out and increases my resolve to be lazy and not go to the gym.

Seriously, people. Shower time isn't live pr0n time.

One would assume you'd do it beforehand and *then* take a shower.
That's gross.

You probably already have what you need to go to the authorities. The Gym's authorities, at least.

I'd tell the gym people. Request to stay anonymous. You're probably no the only one he's done that to.

If you dodge him, he'll either track you or find somebody else to oogle. You shouldn't have to worry about that kind of thing.

What he's doing is seriously not ok imho. I'd be mortified. :-/

When I first read about this I felt like it was completely inappropriate. This just confirmed my opinion. This is harassment. I think you ought to politely ask him why he thinks it is okay to do that, and tell him it is inappropriate. There are perfectly appropriate ways to express one's interest in a romantic relationship. A compliment is not a compliment if it makes the recipient feel bad. You could also take his picture with a camera phone and send it in to www.hollabackpnw.blogspot.com. Its a website where people who are harassed in public can post pictures of their harassers and their stories. It encourages people to speak out and be empowered instead of feeling victimized by harassment. I would also go to the management and complain.

Be sure to add, "A compliment is not a compliment if it makes me feel bad."

Don't forget to mention, "I'm proud of my body!" Or, "You, Sir, are no gentleman."

playasinmar, have you ever been harassed? Do you think it is a joke? Do you think the best thing to do is just sit there and tacitly approve of inappropriate behavior by doing/saying nothing? Do you laugh at rape victims, too? Or just gay people? Maybe that's why this isn't really something to be "taken seriously" for you.

Nope, I already said Fob should take it to the authorities. Taking the issue to the authorities is the right thing to do.

Unless a tea party is in order. In which case I would recommend sitting down at a small round table and discussing my issues with a pervert over a steaming kettle of Earl Grey.

I might even try to show up to the locker room early and have the table set before the pervert arrived. That'd show him!

And I would absolutely say all the things you suggested saying.

I wonder what goes through the mind of a sexual predator when he picks his victim. Why this particular victim?

Wow. Sick. I hope you turned him in. And also punched him in the teeth.
