Seattle vs. Utah

In case there are any of you who haven't been to both Seattle and Utah, or perhaps you've never been to either, I've taken a photo of each place to help you see the difference.

As usual, you hit the nail on the head!!

I gladly grant that many people like brown and hot. I like green and cool. And the great news is that if I want brown and hot I can drive 100 miles east!! But most the time I drive north and south.

And I keep repeating during the long rainy winter "Green", "Green", "Green"...

I'm as offended now (even though I don't live in Utah) as when I first heard a classmate at BYU compare Utah to her beloved Washington. Utah is incredibly beautiful, if not quite lush. But I guess my defensiveness reveals the truth of the matter.

Most of Utah really is that color, but I think Cache Valley is a wee bit closer to the green. But, yes, Seattle is beautiful. And it has hills, which is nicer than a lot of other green places (read: Houston, like hell only humid).

I've heard the lack of sunlight in Seattle is depressing. It takes a few months before it gets to you.

I've been to both Seattle and Utah. Seattle is an okay place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.... And eastern Washington is a desert.

Instead, I live in California.

I have to second nectar. Living in SpoCompton I often consider the need to make Eastern WA part of Idaho. It's quite taupe, and dirty. A glorified farm town as it were. I can't wait for our next trip to Seattle *sigh*
