Wow.

The utterly unexpected arrival of a very generous gift goes a long way toward redeeming an otherwise horrible day.

Thank you, Svoid.

I'm going to go play with my Kindle 2 now.

I'm glad to hear that you got it. I was tracking the shipment all day yesterday and was worried that maybe your neighbor signed for it and decided not to give it to you :)

Is it as cool as it looks? I'd get one for myself, but I'm just not sure that I would get the mileage out of it that you would. So, maybe you'll let me fondle yours if I ever come to visit :)

Sorry, I was in shock for a while after getting it, and then I had to take care of work and kids and playing with the Kindle before I got around to thanking you for it. :) It didn't occur to me that you'd be tracking the shipment, but if it were me in your place I would have been doing the same thing.

It is pretty dang cool. Foxy and I spent a while last night figuring out all the cool things we could use it for in addition to reading books.

I lurve my Kindle. I've been meaning to post about it since I got it Tuesday night, but I've been unwilling to leave it to blog it.

Even Dec likes his. Which has surprised us both.

You're a two-Kindle family? Wow. We'll be a two-Kindle family once they have a full-color version with monthly comic books available, you can be sure of that. In the meantime we're happy to share.

You say you're willing to share . . . now . . .

I'm honestly surprised at how readily we've already assimilated the Kindle2 into our lives already. It's only been three nights . . .

Oh. And we're only a two-kindle family because that's what my parents got all of the kids for Christmas this past year. And since my parents can't imagine sharing a kindle, they naturally assume we can't either. Which is true. At least for me.

Edgy: We're used to sharing--we don't even have two toothbrushes.

Tina: Amen.
