Bacheloroceries

I just got home from the grocery store. In my bag: a frozen pizza, tortilla chips, chocolate chips, a loaf of white bread, and a 32-ounce container of Yami strawberry yogurt. Do you think I'm sufficiently prepared for my five days of bachelorhood while Foxy and the kids are in Vegas with her parents?

Five days? I’ve never been left alone for that long but I think you may need some sort of dip and a case of beer.

MHH: Yeah, if you hear loud music and screaming coming from my side of the cut, you'll know things are getting crazy at the Fobcave.

Scot: I'm actually not a big fan of tortilla chips--I only bought them because there's a jar of salsa con queso in the fridge that must be used. And for some reason having the house to myself made me think of buying a lot of things I wouldn't usually (I resisted the 2-for-1 sale on Oreos, and I outright avoided the ice cream aisle), but beer didn't occur to me. Mostly because every time I've tried beer it's tasted like rotten barley juice.

THAT STUFF IS SO BAD FOR YOU!! YOU WILL END UP NOT BEING ABLE TO...NOT BEING...GETTING...

Well, you just might end up making a lot of effort with no payoff in the bathroom.

That's all.

If you drink booze at all, and you aren't so fond of beer, you might try out some Lambic - especially cherry or raspberry flavored. It is related to beer, but sooooooo delicious.

JB: As a matter of fact, we made two boxes of mac n cheese for lunch yesterday and I have a container of leftovers in the fridge.

Sam: Does it make you feel better to know that I had a bin of organic fruits and veggies delivered yesterday?

Mimsy: I'll have to try out Lambic sometime. I had a hard apple cider recently that I really liked.

Cricket: Sorry, yes ma'am.

Chris: I guess this reveals my boringness--everyone wants me to get drunk, but I just want to get homework done and work on writing my novel.

glad you guys watched refugee all-stars (sorry to be commenting on the wrong post) i felt quite similarly after watching it as well as 'god grew tired of us'. but i suppose all we can do is go forward, try, give, seek understanding, love. . . etc. and you should really try out the veggie corn dogs if you are having a trash food week. seriously so delicious. and did you hear virginnia's engage???!!!

Mmm... I'll have to try some veggie corn dogs. I've always been hesitant about fake meat, but (a) I tried a boca burger recently and really liked it, and (b) it's not like corn dogs ever have real meat anyway.

Thanks again for recommending Refugee All-Stars. I'm glad I watched it. I went straight to Amazon.com afterward and bought the album.

Hurray for Virginia! I'll have to send her a congratulations email.

I just thought you were aiming for the bachelor cliché; you don’t have to drink the beer, just have it with you.

Well, if that's the case, I'll stock up the fridge.
