I'm Too Young to Be Senile!

I just went into the bathroom to take out my contact lenses. Two minutes later I came out and Little Dude handed me his half-eaten cupcake for me to finish. That's when I realized that instead of taking out my contacts, I'd brushed my teeth.

Still, better than taking out your teeth or brushing your eyes.

True. Is it hard being old, Scot?

You know what they say, the mind is the 2nd thing to go.

Right. Now what were we talking about?

I'm still laughing out loud at this. Giggling as I type, even.

Way back in the day when I still lived with my folks, I would very often (too often) walk down the hall (passing 2 other bedrooms and a bathroom) to my bedroom, get there and wonder why I was there. I would then go back up the hall and to the other side of the house and sit on the couch to watch TV and realize that I'd had to go to the bathroom that I had just passed twice!

I do that sort of thing way too often.

As I’ve managed to keep my impressive physique and preternatural intellect, no, not really. Sure, maybe I've some extra burden for the weight of wisdom I’ve accumulated o' these many years, but I can’t complain, Sonny.

I can only hope I'll age as well as you.

I do things like this all the time--ALL the time.

I thought it was just my Adult ADD. And I like that explanation better than having to admit I'm getting old.

But now my eyes are giving me away...

Aren't we all...

I have definitely found myself standing in the bedroom going, "now what did I come in here for?"

Sis: Does adult ADD run in families?

Miss: The important thing is that you remember how you got there.

The other night Dan put cheese away in the pantry instead of the fridge. That's the first time I've ever seen him do something like that, really. It's probably just all the stress right now, but what if it's the familial adult on-set ADD emerging :)

Oh no! Our children are doomed! I knew we should have had that genetic testing done.
