Heath

I'm not qualified to write any kind of meaningful "Remembering Heath Ledger" post, but I will say that I was deeply moved by his performance as a heterosexually married gay man in Brokeback Mountain and have been excited for the past year or so to see him as the Joker in this summer's Dark Knight. Twenty-eight is too young to die, and two is too young to lose a father.

I'm a little dizzy and I don't think I've ever even seen him in anything.

Several of the articles connect his insomnia to his Joker role. If that really is what killed him (indirectly, because of the sleeping pills) I think that makes it even sadder--no movie is good enough to justify a death for its making.

For some reason this death is more shocking and disorienting for me than most celebrity deaths I've heard about in the past.

I feel the same way about his death... I couldn't pull myself away from the E! News or Entertainment Tonights! It was so tragic. He was an amazing actor. By the way, thank you for reading my blog! I'll do better at reading yours. I just put it in my list of favorites. You are a very gifted writer. I think of you everytime I go to the library out here... it just isn't the same as when we would bump into you at the one in Orem! We love you guys!
