Oh, sexual orientation is well above her head. I think she's just figuring out gender now, and how for example girls her age prefer to play with other girls and boys prefer to play with other boys. I just thought it was funny, given the broader context she has no idea of.
I told her I like everyone the same. Then she said, "Even people you don't know?" and I had to admit that yes, it takes me a while to get to know people and to like them. She knows me well.
Hehe. That would take me aback, I think. I'd definitely be thinking fast to figure out what context the question fit in her mind - good job giving her a general answer and not confusing her!
Was this a question about sexual orientation? Or what kind of kids you think are best?
