In trying to maintain, um, decency, I think that there could be more than one option. We don't know for certain that giants are proportionally endowded... they could have abnormally small reproductive organs. And maybe that's why they are not the happiest of creatures. Or, maybe, there is always artificial insemination-type methods. We haven't been told in detail how giants do and can mate.
